Time Management: Shift-tasking Not Multitasking

The lesson I learnt today was related to TIME MANAGEMENT and it was specifically based on Multitasking.

The instructor asserted that multitasking is actually shift-tasking but we don't realize it. We want to commit our time into two or more serious things at the same time but we don't realize we are just stressing ourselves unnecessarily.

A task to prove this was given which involves writing a sentence afterwards, using numbers from 1-24 to represent the sentence, then in the second phase write one of the letter in the sentence above and switch to the number and continue to rinse and repeat, you will realize that the latter takes more time and stresses you out faster.

Choosing a particular task and getting to complete it is the new gold. You cease to always have an illusion of achievement and really get to achieve something while you also have a way to show it.

If you’re guilty of this like me, you don’t have to rush and try to change in one day; you have to take things in strata and whenever you try to leave what you’re doing presently, simply caution yourself- you can take a break and come back to it-.

Stick to it and get it done.
